The Miami Chamber Orchestra is the new professional Orchestra in South Florida! It boasts to be the only professional orchestra with weekly rehearsals in the Miami area. The inaugural concert will include an All-Beethoven Concert, that includes Symphony #2 and the Triple Concerto in C major.
Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 36, is a symphony in four movements written between 1801 and 1802. The work is dedicated to Karl Alois, Prince Lichnowsky. The Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano in C major, Op. 56, commonly known as the Triple Concerto, was composed in 1803 and published in 1804 by Breitkopf & Härtel. The choice of the three solo instruments effectively makes this a concerto for piano trio, and it is the only concerto Beethoven ever completed for more than one solo instrument. The soloists will be renown violinist Eric Silberger, a prizewinner in the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow; international touring artist Julian Schwarz on the cello (son of conductor Gerard Schwarz); and well-known local Ukrainian-American pianist Marina Radiushina, a winner of the Horowitz International Piano Competition.
The Orchestra is conducted by Maestro Alberto Bade and is under the Artistic Direction of pianist Dr. Adolfo Vidal. The orchestra aims to provide quality concerts year-round and provide ongoing performance opportunities to local professional musicians.
